My dad was kind enough (and brave enough) to let us take his boat out unsupervised this week. We had our maiden voyage two days prior to this specific excursion, but needless to say both trips went mostly unscathed plus or minus a few troubleshooting attempts at getting the boat trailer into the water without looking like retards... We are starting to feel a little more comfortable and hope to claim the title of "captain" soon. Thanx to our photographer friend, Spencer (kudos Sven!!), our last excursion was fully documented. White legs and all...
How embarrassing...
Spencer contemplating the purpose of a mitochondrian and, and why in the "H" he let his peers pressure him into getting on that joke of a flotation device...
Going, going, gone!! I did everything I could to toss him out of the tube, but that little sucker was persistant!
And we'd like to thank Applebeer for sponsoring this morning's activities... (oh sweet nectar of the gods)
This is the ski that almost killed Devin. He was trying to get up on the slalom but the rope got trapped around the fat end of the ski. I started the boat and looked behind me to see the rope going into the depths of lake and no Devin. He was missing!! He had been dragged into the lake and the ski had gotten stuck in the mud on the bottom. SO scary!! He eventually popped up after he got his foot out of the ski. The rope was still stuck to the ski, so we were able to get Devin up and running again to take this fabulous shot.
No I'm not going to explain this picture. I just had to put it on the blog though. It makes me smile. Spencer was so good to humor us and go tubing. (He was also a master knee boarder)
