taking the plunge!!

Well, It took us all summer, but he finally went off of the diving board... over and over and over again.

Bon Appetit!!

Well we've done it.
We saw Julie and Julia and were inspired to experience Julia Child's Beef Bourguignon for ourselves. Actually, I merely thought about it, and my dad put it into action. After a big shopping trip, a lot of hard work and 3 hours of heavenly scents wafting through the air, we were able to unanimously say, "Yum..." (You have to see the movie to get the reference:)) Good job Dad (and Mom!), and might I say it was a spectacular feast. I'm glad I didn't try to make it, because I would have totally ruined it!!
Thanks Julia!

smiles and frowns

Cute video...

Movie night!!

Dinosaur jammies, pizza, homemade ice cream, cupcakes, popcorn, and a Monster's Inc... WHat more could a little boy ask for?! Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Hemmert for organizing Movie night for us. It was a big hit the all of the little boy cousins. We look forward to the next one!!

Holly's blessing day

We were able to bless Holly in our home yesterday. It was very special, and Devin did a great job. We were so grateful to all of the family that came to support us and especially to everyone who prepared things for the dinner. (Thanks for putting it all together Mom!) We had quite the crowd here, so we decided to keep it just to close family members.
One of my Dad's nurses made her beautiful blessing dress. DOn't look too closely at her face though... The baby acne has officially arrived in full force. :)

"Let's just pick up and go..." The journey to West Yellowstone

Devin only has two more weeks of freedom before his scholastic endeavor at BYU begins, so we decided to take advantage of it and journey into the wild of Yellowstone. Our cousins Justin and Ashley were kind enough to join us with their little boy. This trip has to be on one of the top 10 most enjoyable trips ever.

Trip perks included:
Staying in a nice condo with a Jacuzzi, being with fun easy-going people, driving and hiking through the wonders of Yellowstone, having a 4 week old baby that was perfect for traveling, the 511 restaurant in Ashton, seeing a black bear, bison, and a black wolf all in the same day, eating at the Roosevelt Lodge, getting manis and pedis with Ashley after watching the kids while the boys golfed, watching Tyson get attacked by a little fish, and being with my little family all day.

The not so great moments:
Being grumpy because of the sleepless nights with a newborn, (I officially nicknamed myself Eeyore), wasting a lot of money on the worst salad bar in history in West Yellowstone (our 3 attempts to eat in West Yellowstone failed miserably... Never eat there, ever, ever ,ever), and eating way too much crap that I felt sick (Okay, maybe that was really fun, but physically I feel totally gross).

At the Artist's Paint Pots: Tyson-"That made a mess!"

Old Faithful (Tyson is taking a picture too...)

Corgan and Mr. Fish

Cave Falls in the rain

Mammoth Springs with the Reeves family

He's saying, "I don't like her" after holding her for 5 seconds. He still gives her kisses though. :)

The infamous fish attack

Holly doing her best "slug in the rain" impression

Best $2 I ever spent was buying Tyson a fake camera. He took Pics of everything. We also splurged and bought him a Junior Ranger vest. He wore it the whole trip.
