We decided to visit my sister in Colorado to bring in 2010. We had so much fun! We visited Denver and stood on the "Mile High" step at the capitol building then went to Casa Bonita for dinner. If any of you are familiar with a certain South Park episode, this may sound familiar. Basically the food is atrocious, but it really is a once in a life time experience for the atmosphere. Whoever determined the menu there should be fired and put in time-out to reconsider their lives. The next day we went swimming, made bread bowls and yummy soup, played games, then pigged out on an orange chocolate bread braid. We visited Old Town Fort Collins, and I have officially decided that The Cupboard is my new favorite kitchen store. We also went to Avatar and Sherlock Holmes. Dev and I highly recommend both films.
New Years Eve we ate Chicken stir fry, Martinelli's, Key lime pie, egg rolls, and a yummy cheese ball. Devin performed a puppet show for the kids (He truly channels another spirit when he has a puppet on his hand...) then we popped balloons filled with confetti and fortunes. We had to say our favorite memory of 2009 and have a goal for 2010.
Devin: 2009 held a lot of great things for us. We got into BYU MBA school, sold our home, had a baby, and moved into my parents basement. Our goal for 2010 is to get an incredible internship for the summer which will basically determine our future altogether.
Heidi: One favorite memory was singing through an entire Christmas songbook late one night with my husband, in the kitchen. My goal for 2010 is to be as healthy as possible!
Tyson: When asked what his favorite thing was last year, he replied, "My life."
Holly: Hopes to crawl.
Afterward, we brought in the New Year stomping on bubble wrap and blowing cheap whistles for about 5 minutes. Thanks Hansens, for letting us come! We literally had a blast!!

This is how Tyson entertained himself during the Denver Capitol building tour. Dead man walking, anyone?
The puppet show. "Hoppie Moo Yee-ah!!"
The candy bar game. By the end, Tyson figured out that he could just make the dice be doubles rather than rolling them. It was pretty funny.
This was taken just before a very funny crash. Devin was a little over-confident on his sledding skills, when he tried to get a running start and jump onto his sled on his knees. He ended up sliding down the mountain like a belly-down star fish and his knee is still paying for it.
Holly helped us drive out there for a while. :)
