Best Birthday ever

For my birthday, Devin got off of work early and we drove up to Disneyland! Disneyland birthdays are the best!!! If you wear a birthday pin, every employee in the park has to wish you a happy birthday. I was kind of creeped out at first, but then I embraced it. And I think the employees make a game of it too, because some of them would try to scare me on purpose with it! Anywho... It was so fun. We ended the day with watching the Magical Firework show while on the Casey Junior ride (My new favorite ride of all time). Devin Also bought the Hidden Mickeys book, So I have now joined in the quest for the hidden Mickeys throughout the park. More of that to come...

San Diego botanical garden

The Botanical gardens were beautiful!! They have such a variety of terrains and vegetation. I liked the bamboo forest and tropical rain forests the most. I don't know what Holly is doing in the first pic, but she had fun. She might have been more excited for her bath that night though...

The USS Midway

The USS Midway is a retired aircraft carrier named after the famous battle if Midway in WWII and it is parked in the San Diego Harbor. It's full of twisted hallways, crazy stairs, old planes. and war-story-telling veterans. We knew it was going to be cool and full of planes but we had no idea it was going to take us 4 hours just to walk through the thing!! It was a long day, but it was so worth it.


I told Tyson to try and lift the chain. I know I totally set him up for failure. He sure tried hard!
